Thanks to my Mom and Jon Gnagy
When I was nine, I “successfully” drew a polar bear using my Jon Gnagy art set. It felt like magic! As a kid I honed my chops by copying illustrations from the back covers of Reader’s Digest Magazines and then making an embarrassing amount of Tears for Fears fan art. (We all start somewhere!) This skill is for sale.
MAGIC TOME pencil, watercolour
Magical book pages created for the TV Movie, Phantom Pups. Hand done illustrations were formatted into Photoshopped “antique” pages.
2019 CALENDAR pencil, watercolour
Most of the elements for this flat calendar were drawn separately then composed in Photoshop.
HOUSEPLANT PORTRAITS pencil, watercolour
A series of illustrations for my 2018 flat calendar. This series is growing and will take over a few other items that are currently in the planning phase.
SKETCHBOOK graphite, watercolour
A selection of drawings from various projects including packaging, book cover design and personal sketches.
URBAN SKETCHING pencil & watercolour
I really enjoy going out with our local chapter of Urban Sketchers. I was inspired by our group organizer, Brian Hebb (a retired cinematographer) to work both sides of the book.
TRAVEL DRAWINGS pencil & marker
These are worked up from photos after I get home. While travelling, the desire to draw fights the desire to run around and see more and more. This is the compromise.
